WMS Board of Directors: Sara Montgomery, Paula Slayton, Patrick Cunningham, and Babette Donlon

WMS, West Mountain's 501(c) (3), Federal Tax ID # 75-3173928, plays a multifaceted roll engaging in fundraising and promotion of ski racing at West Mountain, providing many of the supporting elements such as safety and technical equipment, financial scholarships, and fostering a sense of community and volunteer service. WMS believes a child who participates in athletics is more likely to be happy and healthy while becoming well-rounded and acquiring many skills and disciplines that will allow her/him to realize their goals and dreams throughout their lifetime.

The WMS Scholarship Application is attached below: WMS offers need-based, multi-children and abiltiy-based (must be recommended by a coach) full and partial WMR program memberships.

West Mountain School is very happy to report it awarded over $10,000 in WMR program scholarships in 2018/2019, up from $6,800 in 2017/2018!

WMS receivedd $20,000 in grant funding in 2018 from the Kelly Brush Foundation ($7,000), the Killington World Cup Committee ($5,000), and the Town of Queensbury ($8,000) to purchase safety equipment and supplies for the WMR race program at West Mountain. WMS and WMR greatly appreciate the support of these organizations.

Thank you to our WMS sponsors: Whiteman Chevrolet, Sysco Foods, Glens Falls National, and Curtis Lumber.

If you are interested in a WMR membership for your child and cannot make the financial commitment at this time or have multiple children in the program or have been recommended by a coach for an ability-based scholarhisp and would like to apply for scholarship, please fill out the application and return it to Sara Montgomery or any WMS Board Member at West Mountain. Scholarships applications are due by October 1, 2019 and will be awarded in mid to late October and will be good for the 2019/2020 season. If you are a current WMR racer and wish to be considered for a scholarship, you must be in full compliance with WMR's Code of Conduct.  If you wish to donate to our organization, please contact Sara Montgomery, VP of WMS, at sara@westmtn.net or by phone at 518-300-0987.
